2008 January  Elba Jazz Festival - contest I° Edizione -(2008-01-16)Deadline 1 Maggio 2008. Dal 25 giugno al 5 luglio 2008 a Marciana Marina , Isola d’Elba, Italy La III° edizione del festival, che si svolgerà nella seconda settimana di luglio nel meraviglioso scenario dell’Isola d’Elba, sarà introdotta dalla I° Edizione di Elba Jazz Contest, un concorso dedicato a giovani talenti e gruppi emergenti in ambito jazzistico: 3000 euro al miglior progetto inedito. La direzione artistica del concorso, che selezionerà i 18 gruppi participanti, è affidata a Luigi Campoccia, docente dell’Accademia Siena Jazz. Sono ammessi alla selezione gruppi impegnati in un ampio range di generi: dal Jazz tradizionale, fino a progetti caratterizzati da contaminazioni tipo “fusion” (latin jazz, soul, funky ecc). La giuria è presieduta dal Maestro Enrico Intra, direttore della Scuola Civica di Jazz di Milano, e composta dal Direttore Artistico Luigi Campoccia, dal contrabbassista Bruno Tommaso, dal Prof. Fabio Piangiani, dai critici musicali Franco Fayenz e Alceste Ayroldi e dal giornalista Alessandro Di Lecce.
