MIDI and Audio connections are a breeze to set up, allowing you to start playing the Virus in seconds. It also offers several user interface pages for different sets of parameters, so every single control can receive a dedicated knob or switch. The Indigo TDM features three main oscillators, two filters, three LFOs and two envelopes for every voice. It also provides built-in effects like chorus, phaser, ring modulators, multiple distortion, delay and reverb. Input mode let to modify single tracks or entire mixes with resonant filters. The vocoder let to add the robotic sound to the recording using other tracks or your voice singing along with your tune. A built-in arpeggiator syncs to MIDI beat clock and follows the song tempo at any time.
Specifications 4 oscillators per voice. Three main oscillators plus one sub oscillator (when using the third oscillator the virus b / kb needs up to 30% more power per voice. In full usage the virus' polyphony may therefore lose a maximum of 6 voices) .Sawtooth, variable pulse, sine, triangle waves + 62 additional spectral waves FM (Frequency modulation) for the Oscillators with external Input signals 2 fully independent filters each user selectable as lowpass, highpass, bandpass or bandreject 4 filter routings in serial/parallel configurations up to 6 poles (36 dB) per voice 3 LFOs (68 LFO shapes) 16 independent arpeggiators with numerous arpeggiator patterns and real time parameter access. Arpeggio parameters can be modulated in realtime and include swingfactor and notelenght. 82 simultaneous DSP effects like: Reverb (w. pre-delay sync to MIDI-clock) Retro Phaser (6-stage stereo phaser with 24 filter-poles Multiple independent distortion/saturation/Lo-fi FX per voice, including multiple distortion/shaper characteristics and variable gain. Chorus/Flanger with rate sync to midi tempo Simple or "Groove" Delay (preset polyrhythmic patterns) 32-band advanced vocoder Ring Modulator Analog Boost for true vintage tonal characteristics
Complex modulation matrix Complete parameter control via MIDI with "Adaptive Control Smoothing" for ultra soft parameter changes and no zipper noise Uses the same sound algorithms as the Virus Indigo hardware synth Includes more than 1000 sounds (from Moogish basses to lush pads to searing leads to analog drums and more) Input Mode allows the Virus Plug-In to act as an effects device (filter or vocode entire mix) Loads patches directly from the original Access Virus hardware ; no need to reprogram all existing sounds Runs on a dedicated DSP for true power on demand Up to 80 voices on a standard Pro Tools|24 MIXplus system (16 per SRAM DSP) Up to 160 voices on a Protools HD with up to 96khz Up to eight multi-timbral synthesizers per DSP Direct Pro Tools integration allows easy MIDI/Audio routing and takes advantage of ProTools' mixing features Fully automated with frame accuracy for over 150 parameters Pro Tools Plug-In library function allows easy patch management and exchange Ultra low latency for extremely fast MIDI-to-audio timing Upgrade path for existsing Virus TDM
